Mission Inn Resort & Club: Hub for Central Florida’s Summer Camps For Junior Golfers, Tennis Players, Families

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. (April 18, 2017) – Mission Inn Resort & Club is a prime location for summer learning experiences for junior golfers and tennis players, as well as their families. A hub of activity in a peaceful setting, the destination nestles amid central Florida citrus groves and a natural chain of lakes, only 35 minutes from Orlando.

For junior golfers, Mission Inn Resort hosts two different camps from June 11 to Aug. 5, including:

    • The Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy, which will host a series of summer camp weeks that provide junior golfers the opportunity to “Train Like A Champion” at the same training home of three of the LPGA Tour’s top six players – Lydia Ko, Ariya Jutanugarn, and Shanshan Feng, plus the PGA Tour’s Morgan Hoffmann. The Academy offers single camp weeks, multiple week packages and a two-week tournament camp offering attendees an opportunity for competitive play. Boarding and non-boarding options are available. For more: call (352) 484-0787 or visit ggga.com/programs/summer-camp.
    • The Bishops Gate Golf Academy with programs built uniquely for individuals based on their goals, aspirations, strengths, tournament schedule, and areas of improvement. Bishops utilizes its own coaching model — which it has dubbed “POD” — that consists of a senior coach with extensive experience and training in junior golf development directing a POD of coaches and students. The senior coach oversees all aspects of the student development from assessments, creating the student blueprint to monitoring and reporting on progress throughout the year. For junior tennis players, Mission Inn Resort offers a camp from June 20 to Aug. 5, plus adult lessons throughout the summer:

A former Davis Cup player for Bolivia, Villarroel offers training programs including Quick Start Group Lesson, Beginners and Intermediate Group Lesson, and Elite Player Group Lesson with both training and fitness programs.
