Spring Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

Neysa & Ruben

Neysa & Ruben’s spring outdoor wedding ceremony at our Legends courtyard was joyful and stunning. They chose yellow and mint green colors, which blended perfectly with the scenery of live oak trees and greenery of the golf resort. The bridesmaids’ dresses were different shades of yellow which coincided with the three tier, yellow ombre, monogrammed wedding cake. The baby’s breath centerpieces complimented the overall soft look of the wedding. The reception held in our Legends Ballroom was heartwarming and festive with all of the family together in celebration.

Tell us about how you two met? Ruben and I have known each other for quite some time. His cousin has been my best friend for over 16 years. She basically “hooked” us up after convincing me to call him. =)  We began to talk on the phone for about two weeks and agreed to meet at one of our favorite places to eat – Chipotle. We had our first date there and the rest is history…

How did he pop the question? He popped the question on our 1 year anniversary. I was on my way home from work, and he asked me to meet him at the Citrus tower. I was kind of hesitant because I had just left cheer practice, and I was hot, sweaty, and hungry.I went anyways. I got to the tower, and a lady greets me by name and tells me to take the elevator up to the top of the tower. I rode 14 stories to the top and when the elevator doors open, I got a breathtaking view of lake county. Ruben called my name, and I turned a corner and see him on bended knee, with roses, and my ring. I thought I was going to cry, but I just screamed in happiness.
